Installation & Activation
Everything you need to get Scheps MIDI Transformer running in your DAW.
System Requirements
Installation
Download the installer from your purchase confirmation email or from theDownloads page on Schepsworx.net. Run the installer and follow the prompts. The plugin will be installed in the standard locations for each format:
After installation, restart your DAW and scan for new plugins if required.
Demo Mode
SMT includes a 14-day free trial with full functionality. The trial begins automatically on first launch — no registration or credit card required.
During the trial, the plugin is fully functional. The title bar shows how many days remain, and the key icon in the toolbar is amber.
When the trial expires, MIDI processing is disabled until a license is activated. Your settings and presets are preserved.
Activation
After purchasing, you will receive a license key by email. To activate:
Open SMT in your DAW.
Click the key icon in the top-right of the toolbar.
Enter your license key in the field provided.
Click Activate. SMT will contact the activation server and confirm your license.
The key icon turns green. You're ready to go.
Your license allows activation on up to 3 machines. To move a license to a new machine, deactivate on the old machine first using the key icon menu.
Adding SMT to a Track
Pro Tools
On an instrument track, open the inserts section and add SMT as an AAX MIDI plugin. SMT processes MIDI before it reaches the instrument.
Logic Pro
Open the instrument or software instrument track you want to process. In the channel strip, click an empty MIDI Effect slot (above the instrument). Find Scheps MIDI Transformer in the AU MIDI Effects category.
Abelton Live
Find Scheps MIDI Transformer in the plugins list and drag it to a MIDI track.
Reaper, Cubase and other DAWs
Add Scheps MIDI Transformer to a MIDI track however you would normally.
